Everybody is forsaking glamour these days. It's called intimacy, I suppose.
Our cell group sleepover turned out to be a slideshow of horrible photographs, quite debunking the glamgirl myth. And then dawn, aimei and i have taken to saying things like "Lei!" and "beauteefool".

I'd always wanted to knit. Whenever I played "wife" with a bunch of kids, I would take a string and tie knots in it, or hold two chopsticks together and tell them I was busy knitting.
Now I finally know what to do with a pair of knitting needles and yarn. My grandmother is pleased; finally her genes ended up somewhere. She keeps asking me over so she can check on my progress and see what I've been doing. Considering I've never been a real grandchild the way other people are, this is good for our relationship. When I can knit without leaving holes in the weave and actually finish a length of scarf, I shall learn to crochet lace from her.
