These shoes want to walk back to the place where restless children can sleep soundly for five days of their lives.
When children are loved, they stop screaming, they stop kicking, they start being able to love others too. Maybe that means that the adults who scream and kick and can't care for their familes are also unloved children. They grew up without meaning to, and are still abused children when they have children of their own. And so lovelessness is passed on like genes to the next generation.
What does it take to break the cycle? A prayer, a card, a hug, five days of my life? Much more?
Much more. But this is all I can offer you. And by faith, in the hands of the Father, five loaves and two fish can become much, much more.
