Fleetwood Mac grows on you. It evolves from a fuzzy, country-soaked cracker to something more solid. And on that hot sleepless night when music played on autopilot in my head, Rhiannon made it back to me. And i read this news article about how the 80s is in fashion again--music resurrected through The Killers and The Darkness--and i realise that the new clipped up pouf with the ponytail and the gold clip-on earrings are indeed very 80s. And how did that escape me all this while.
And i would describe these days as
bungee jumping without doing a safety check first
I spent my weekend waking up early to go for pilates with ashley, coming back to go for the P dinner and show, and making lots of plans for the near jobless future. Work now consists of pretending to work, writing invoices very slowly, and listening to my enlarged collection of songs. My plans for post-job days:
-Crazy Elephant
-Hard Rock Cafe
-Arab St for the buttons, fabric, and heyhey, the caterpillar's puff
-looking for good t-shirt printers and buyers
-looking for buyers for whatever i can churn out
-shopping for a schoolbag
-eating at listed dessert spots
-sitting in the sun with sunscreen on
-lots of walks and talks
Lots and lots and lots of walks and talks and walks and talks. Lots. I've learnt how to be silent a whole day through with this job. Enough. To Clarke Quay for Hana's birthday!
