I think that above all, i'm really quite amazed. I thought that shrewdness of this calibre didn't come till much later; that we're all supposed to be divinely artless at this age. I may have made a wrong move today, but i don't care. Making an apology, however undeserved, is a small price to pay for peace. I cannot play the same game or calculate strategies in the same way, and i am glad i cannot. I would much rather let you win your cheap trophies this time than lower myself to defeat you. Just stay out of my way for a while.
The weekend was the type to make me believe that good people exist in this world. Swimming at our bachelorette mansion, making very scary fear-factorish videos, and dharma-ing through friday to saturday morning. Once again i thank God for this class, this incredible mix of original souls. Only in 1d will you never hear that school is all about work, or that friendships are superficial, or that everyone aims for their own 4as and overseas scholarships. And so i, protected in this fairyland, believed that people all over rj are like that (unfortunate mistake of mine). The 1d sisterhood is about a Manda who will fly down to save you from thugs, kidnappers, lions and dirty boys no matter what she's doing; it's about a Dharma who throws flowers and bubbles into the air and makes up songs in honour of actcools, browncows, and swings. 1D is about a Stef who will hug you from behind and write in your notebook and feed you wonderful things; an Aimei who's all "honey, sugar, butterfly" with her heart on her sleeve; a Sheila who will listen to you with wide adoring eyes and who will one day conquer the world with her TTs; a Joeun who speaks words of offbeat wisdom, who will someday also rule the world but mock her minions as she does it; a Dawn who sits upon her pink throne and flips her babysoft hair; a Viknes who is really very lovely and useless; and i could go on but my shoulder aches.
But you get me. You have gems like that to remind you that you're alive for a reason that actually matters, and then there's some.
