Someone is really happy today because of (-----), and so i am really happy too.
Dearest dharma came over today and we spent the whole time weaving the most simple but intricate Chinese drama serial. It was heartbreaking and beautiful and memorable. Oh nameless boy, our hearts are with you always. I feel like of the three i'd be ling ling, the forward-looking one. You know what dharma, i think when they first broke up, ling ling did look at her mementos once in a while. Their neo-prints, this necklace he bought her, and other things, though not reeds, because the importance of the reed never really got to her. To her it was just a reed, but he had sweet memories of the reed because he remembered her blowing it in their pastoral paradise. But her sentimentality was only sustained until it was time to move on to other higher things.
Maybe there were times in the future when she looked at him and saw the boy she used to love. Remember that although she changed into a stranger, he never did. He had the same ambitions, the same passion, the same gestures. Sometimes she must have thought about what was lost, and felt something close to sadness. But she's a survivor; she doesn't linger in what might have been.
Mementos didn't have power over the fishball girl. She's too simple, a clean slate, an empty drawer. She lives only in the present and the clear things. That's why she couldn't understand why he kept all those things. The more she couldn't understand it, the more she had fears; she felt she was losing him to a strange world to which she had no entry.
