I'll admit it here, i find studying fun sometimes. It's fun when you have maltesers and pizza pretz and the secret water bottle beside you, with a giant industrial fan blowing your hair silly and a dear azi nearby to sing with. And little white people playing table tennis and badminton below you, all caught up in olympic/susilo/jiawei fever. Even doing maths is fun, although i suspect i will fail ao maths yet again with less pomp and pride than before. I learnt many things today that they claim i knew before, but i swear i never knew them. dv/dt and the reason you have to put the fraction in front of the bracket, i've got you now and you shall not escape.
Thank you paki for sending me your Girl From Ipanema! It's the first non-bossanova version i've heard, but that's not the only part i'm truly happy about. It's the first version i've heard sung by a guy! It never quite made sense, a girl singing in a whispery voice about the Girl From Ipanema. Tall and tan and young and lovely.
We were talking about small things that make us absolutely stark raving mad. For me, it would HAVE to be "hehe". I hate hehe, all of its four letters. It disappoints me greatly when people who used to "hee" or "heh" start to hehe. It makes me unable to laugh at the supposedly funny text.
I'm really happy. You know how little things don't make you fret anymore, and nothing is worth wasting a frown on, and you realize you have a life now, not a past, but a life that is multicoloured and full and all yours, and not a life to be lived to tell someone else about, but a life that you and you alone know about, a wealth of sudden bursts of feelings that belong to you and won't be given away; a life not lived in someone else's eyes, but a life with the complete realization that you're breathing and living for yourself, and every moment is wakeful and conscious and real..? This is better than living in a song.
