I think everyone was happy last night. These two days have been happierthanicandescribe days.
It started with pizza at janis's house with sharon. It was a reminder just how important cell group support is. I need feeding. I need that comfort bubble to just sit back and learn in. Looking at janis's married life, i think that's what being married should be about. Saving food for one's tumblybumbly husband while he swims, and asking him for bible references now and then.
Then, the great excitement of the day: my first punctured tyre! Thankfully it got punctured right outside my uncle's house, and I got my eligible bachelor cousin to come out and change it for me. He looked at my entourage of four and said, "All don't know how to change ah?!" He changed it and took off, leaving the boys in awe. After worship practice I sent another group of people back and had the other excitement of getting my tyres pumped at the petrol kiosk by a petrol uncle who couldn't believe I didn't know how to do it myself. It was raining heavily and as I drove I was screaming, "I can't see! I can't see!" And so I missed a turn and drove at a snail's pace and rolled over a kerb. Today every single person I met said something like, "How's your car?" or "I've been hearing about your terrible driving."
On the bright side, one boy had this to say, "At least there's some thrill sitting in your car. I hate those car rides in which I know I'll arrive at my destination safely."
Thanks.
And then there was the shakes and malts dinner at billy bombers! I've never been made so happy by a shake before. It was nice to just talk about unserious things. Why did i ever have the impression that talks always have to be about One Thing? Absolutely not.
So then. A whole week of fun things is waving at me, and here I come to get it.
