I don't remember much about the week. Only that Monday was spent recovering from world cup sunday/monday, which saw me hyper and hungry and peculiarly chatty at 5 am while timhan and ivan were mumbling in their subconscious on the road.
And there was also the crazy dinner at sheils' place. Food and 1d girls never makes for anything other than a crazy time. The most random moment was when dharma and i were convinced that Portia had just forgotten how to jump off the bench. Portia stood on the table staring at us silently as we ran about in panic, silently because her "barking thing" must have been snipped off, and from my view it looked like she was floating in midair outside the window.
Maybe it has something to do with being literature students- we tell the most dramatic stories when we meet. Complete with flailing arms. My other social circles are significantly less dramatic. I miss these girls already, now stirring up their little corners of the states with that 1d pizzazz.
And then various lunches and teas with missed souls. In between all that, I haven't had a chance to put down the bass. So i don't have to worry about fingers softening and shoulders weakening just yet.
Surprisingly, I liked Superman Returns. The scriptwriters seemed to make fun of the superman cliches, i loved that. And there is always something heart-catching about love that can't be, or won't be, and a poor nerdy sadman who is secretly superman.
And so. I spin and collide into cobwebs of whodunnit and where did you go, and keep returning to this. Only because I actually want to.
