Take a tale as bizarre and dark as Alice in Wonderland, and put it in the head of a man as bizarre and dark as Tim Burton, and this is what you get. Unbelievably stunning.

Disney made it as psychedelic and friendly as a children's birthday party:Jan Svankmajer's Alice was an exercise in darkness with his bare stopmotion interpretation of the old tale. Remember when Alice fell through the tunnel? This is Svankmajer's tunnel:

I never enjoyed watching it. It was like sitting through a bad dream, which in all manners of Lewis Carroll's tale, I suppose was his intention.

But look at this, Tim Burton's brand of darkness. One wonders what the man sees at night when he dreams.
There are several fan-made trailers, but let's just wait for the official one to be out. 2010 can't come soon enough!
