Wonderful Christmas eve. All the planning, dressing up, cooking, calls and gift-shopping, down to this most wonderful evening. It couldn't have been better. The turkey, the homemade "chappati", the frozen cream strawberries, the many carollers, the camera flashes, and the surprise cake.. Manda's gifts for us sent us into screams. Little Miss Magic and Mr Daydream: me and my future husband respectively. Little Miss and Mr books for each of us. Dawn is Little Miss Tidy and Sheila is Little Miss Brainy; Manda's Little Miss Sweet-Wonderful-Amazing-Surprising, definitely.

Today's service was different from last year's. For one i wasn't one of those fresh out of camp. And there was that little uneasiness that was missing, that i missed, strangely enough. Tomorrow will be exactly one year since i spoiled Christmas for you.

Photos will come up in a while. I prefer the ones that sheila took though. There's too much going on in my head, lovely thoughts of sugar, dizzy patterns making nothing really sensible. I shall wait before i speak, or i might say something i'll ultimately wish i'd never blurted out. But this i know and know well: it's a lovely christmas and it's not over yet.
