Revolution is sweeping through the school. It was in a back alley, over a bubbling steamboat, that Jeffrey solemnly and passionately revealed the Opposition Party's action plan. It was funny then, but it looks like the establishment is suffering a serious many-pronged attack from their unhappy peasant people now.

It catches on. There is a silly rule made by ntu that nothing is to be left on our school walls and floor. Hence there are no exhibits, no murals, nothing to suggest that adm is not a business school or a hotel lobby. Joanne and I were mournfully peeling off the first few ants from our ant-trail project when we abruptly decided not to follow orders anymore. I called Joy to tell her. Her response was, "What! Where is this revolutionary spirit coming from?" It must be the influence of all the unhappy rebels. So we wrote an email to our professors and the dean to fight for the preservation of our ant project, quoting other professors who believed that the ants should stay. I still think it was a naive email, but naive passion is better than not putting up a fight.

Last night saw our usually whispering professor shouting and jumping around for the first time. She was telling us, "That's right! There should be more people like you!" and venting a truckload of grievances against the Man. She, like other people we've talked to, are excited to the point of giggles about the Opposition Party 's plan. It's hilarious how united everybody is now. I remember thinking if she was so animated because of the beer.

I like this, the students coming alive on their own. Last night's event was a promise that we are not a school of passive minds. It was a majorly adm show at home club, but the school's name wasn't anywhere on the program sheet--why? Because the forces that be wouldn't allow it. Neither do the forces allow us to enter competitions or collaborations as a school. My apologies to the rest of the management, i believe it's just the Force.

Everybody has something to fight for. Camera loans, competitions, trips, internships, classroom spaces, funds. I'm happy and contented as I am, and I know i'm already very blessed to be in this school. But i also enjoy watching this commotion, and i believe that, well, ants are worth writing emails for.
