A quick one before I rush back to my work. I don't think that the government will, or should, remove TPL from parliament just because there is a petition to do so. The petition states that the people voted the PAP in, but that their votes do not reflect their consent to TPL being an MP. What utter naivete. They voted for the PAP knowing that she is in the GRC; they have "5 years to repent" in their own good MM's words.

It is far better for them to see that the government is double-sided when enforcing elections rules, in not disqualifying TPL for her Cooling Day gaffe. Then they will vote more wisely the next time.
